So the functions surrounding the proposed site have limited the use to the pedestrian. The link to the second floor of new sarugaku means that cyclists won't be able to use it.

However, as the picture of blonde goodness and the wheelchair below shows, the elderly, the disabled, and children will need to be accounted for. Thus the choice of the ramp. I could provide a staircase alternative for energetic go-getters, but that would heavily determine the sculptural qualities of the bridge. Something that will be a major drawcard.
